This standard was evaluated in regard to an investigation and a violation was found. A caregiver bit a child while in care at the operation. The caregiver was terminated.
The operation became aware of a caregiver at the operation testing positive for a communicable disease on October 7, 2021. The operation did not report the incident to Child Care Regulations until October 15, 2021. The operation is required to report an outbreak of a communicable disease to Childcare Regulations within 2 days of becoming aware of the communicable disease.
