About
Data from official state reports, translated into plain English
Choosing a childcare provider is a big step. Parents should not have to rely on scattered inspection pages or hard-to-read reports when deciding who to trust with their children.
Daycare facilities are regulated by states and undergo regular inspections. States publish this information, but many parents do not know it exists, and the reports can be hard to read, compare, or use to spot patterns.
DaycareFacts.com does the heavy lifting: it gathers state inspection reports, analyzes the records, and presents the information in a clearer, easier-to-use format.
Reports and data should be useful. Reading 20 or 30 reports across several providers can make it difficult to see what official records show and which patterns deserve a closer look.
The purpose of this project is to make available public data understandable and easier to digest.
