Agreement
These Terms apply when you use DaycareFacts.com. By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
DaycareFacts.com is operated by Nicolaus Inc., doing business as D2CEBL, a Florida corporation.
What this website does
DaycareFacts.com is an informational public-record research tool for parents and caregivers. The website helps people find and understand official childcare inspection and licensing records published by state agencies, local licensing authorities where applicable, and other public sources.
DaycareFacts.com currently provides records for childcare providers in Florida, California, and Texas. Available provider information, record types, historical coverage, and document availability vary by source and jurisdiction. Texas coverage includes licensed centers, licensed and registered child care homes, and listed family homes.
The website does not certify that a provider is safe or unsafe. It does not endorse, rank, recommend, or approve any childcare provider. Inspection records are snapshots in time and may not reflect current conditions.
Public records and summaries
Our information is based on official childcare inspection and licensing records published by state agencies, local licensing authorities where applicable, and other public sources. We may organize, classify, summarize, or display those records in a simpler format to make them easier to use.
DaycareFacts.com may omit or limit information that is unavailable, privacy-limited, or inappropriate for public display. This includes unavailable or private street addresses, precise coordinates, maps, and geocoding-derived location information for California family child care homes.
The website may link directly to an official source or provide access to an official source document through DaycareFacts.com. Government records and other third-party materials remain the responsibility of their original publishers.
We work to keep the information accurate, but summaries, classifications, counts, links, and source records may contain errors, omissions, delays, or outdated information. Original official reports and licensing authority records should be treated as the controlling source.
Always review the official reports, contact the provider, and contact the relevant licensing authority before making childcare decisions.
More information about source handling, classifications, and limitations is available on the Data and Methodology page.
Automated analysis and artificial intelligence
The website uses automated tools, including deterministic software rules, to organize, classify, summarize, and display information based on official childcare inspection and licensing records.
Deterministic software rules produce public counts, sorting, provider labels, repeated-topic detection, and parent-facing concern classifications. Large language models are not used to determine whether source records exist, create inspection findings, count findings, sort providers, or assign provider labels or concern classifications.
Florida provider pages include Questions to ask; some were generated offline with Google Gemini from structured inspection findings and source-linked context, then reviewed and imported before publication. California and Texas provider pages do not currently show generated questions. The live website does not call Gemini or another large language model when provider pages load.
Original official reports and licensing authority records should be treated as the controlling source.
No professional advice
DaycareFacts.com provides general informational content. It does not provide legal, regulatory, licensing, medical, or other professional advice. It does not replace official agency guidance, contacting the provider, checking current licensing status, or visiting the childcare setting.
Third-party services
The website may use third-party tools and infrastructure, including Google Analytics for site measurement, Formspree for form submissions, Google Gemini for offline generation of some Florida parent-question wording, and DigitalOcean for hosting. Those services are operated by their respective providers and may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices. See our Privacy Notice for more information.
If you submit information through a contact form, that submission may be processed by Formspree and then reviewed by us so we can respond, investigate a report, or improve the website.
User submissions
If you send feedback, corrections, comments, or other information to us, you give us permission to review, store, process, and use that submission to operate, improve, and correct the website. Do not submit confidential information, sensitive child information, or anything you are not authorized to share.
Acceptable use
Do not use the website to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, overload the service, misrepresent the information, harass any person or provider, or violate the law. Do not use automated scraping or bulk copying in a way that disrupts the website or its infrastructure.
Ownership and links
The DaycareFacts.com name, website design, summaries, classifications, explanatory copy, software, and other original content are owned by us or our licensors, except for official public records and third-party materials. You may link to DaycareFacts.com pages, but you may not suggest that we endorse you or your services unless we agree in writing.
The website may link to or provide access to official reports and source documents, government websites, provider websites, or other third-party materials. Providing a link or source-document access does not mean that we control or endorse the source or its content.
