This standard was pulled as part of an investigation and found to be deficient. A caregiver was seen in video footage striking a child across the face with an open palm.
Based on the information provided, a caregiver did not use good judgment when trying to get a child to sit properly in a chair. The caregiver moved the chair in a manner that caused the child to fall and hit their head on a table as a result.
