This standard was marked deficient based on information obtained during a DFPS investigation. It was found that the caregiver grabbed the 8-month-old infant?s shoulder and torso. As the infant continued to cry, the caregiver grabbed the infant roughly, moving the infant in and out of the crib. It was also found that the caregiver grabbed the victim and moved the victim across the room.

Based on information obtained during a DFPS investigation, a violation was found. The caregiver was overwhelmed while caring for infants, and did not demonstrate good judgment or self-control in her actions. As a result, she mishandled an 8-month-old infant, leading to multiple bruises on the child. Specifically, She grabbed the child and improperly lifted the infant by one arm.
