Medium concern: Staff-to-child ratio
Report finding
Upon arrival at the center for inspection, there was only one caregiver supervising 11 children between the ages of 6 months and 10 years old. Four of the children were under 17 months old. According to minimum standards, one caregiver can supervise only these four infants. However, there were also four additional children aged 18 months to 4 years, and three more children aged 5 years and up.The caregiver was over ratio by caring for 7 additinal children alone. A second caregiver arrived just a few minutes after I began my inspection, bringing the operation into compliance with ratio standards.
