Child/caregiver ratios were not met in a pre-k classroom when a caregiver stepped out of the room to conduct diaper changes leaving a caregiver to supervise a group of 17 children. The specified age of the children in the group was 3 years of age. According to the ratio chart the maximum number of children one caregiver may supervise is 15.
