During the time of inspection, the licensing specialist observed ratio. Staff: Children 1:7 Mixed ages. 3 Infants, 1 Two-year-old and 3 Three-year-olds. Upon reviewing the child-to-staff ratio, the licensing specialist observed that the provider had exceeded the allowable number of children, placing the program out of compliance with required ratios. The licensing specialist informed the provider that she was out of ratio, provided technical assistance, and explained the importance of maintaining compliance with required ratios. The provider understood and called the parent to pick up their child to stay compliance with ratio.

During the time of inspection, the licensing specialist observed nap mats were torn and had the foam filling showing and were no longer impermeable. Photos were taken. The provider removed the mats from the rooms resolving the issue. The licensing specialist provided technical assistance from FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.8, F Sleep bedding includes beds, cribs, or mattresses. Nap bedding includes sleep bedding, cots, playpens, play yards or floor mats. Air and foam mattresses are prohibited.
