Licensing observed the staff for 4-5 age group by the hallway located by the school entrance when the licensing specialist arrived, leaving the children with a volunteer. The licensing specialist provided technical assistance thus it was completed at the time of the inspection. Explaining, volunteers are not counted towards ratio or supervision. Please note if you want to use this "volunteer" as a staff she must complete all requirements including DCF 45-hour training, CPR, background, and have a complete staff file. For ratio and supervision purposes staff must remain within the room with the children. Ratios after corrections: 1:5 AGE 3 1:10 AGE 4-5

The staff noted on the supplemental was not re-screened after 5 years from the original date of 4/4/2019 and had an expired screening dated 3/20/24. The Licensing Counselor provided technical assistance thus it was completed at the time of the inspection. CCF Handbook 5.2. A screening conducted under this rule is valid for five years, at which time a re-screen must be conducted in the same manner as the initial screening. The five-year re-screen is required for all childcare personnel.
