Level 2 screening as outlined in s. 435.04, F.S., is required for all child care personnel and includes a criminal records check (both national and statewide), a sexual predator and sexual offender registry search, and child abuse and neglect history of any state in which an individual resided during the preceding 5 years. Documentation of Level 2 Clearinghouse screening clearance was missing for child care personnel.

There was no documentation available of a completed background screening for one of the childcare staff members. The staff member was observed working in the classroom alongside other employees who have screening clearance. Technical assistance was previously provided regarding background screening during the inspection conducted on 2/19/2026.
