The child eventually was able to open the door, and another staff member saw her in the hall and reunited her with her class. The lead teacher was reassigned to work in the kitchen and is currently not supervising children, to assist with preventing this from occurring in the future. The other teacher was re-trained regarding transitions and completing a head count.
