Fire drill was not completed for the month of February 2026. When fire drill was attempted with the specialist present, the director had no knowledge of the alarm system and was preparing to use their phone, specialist terminated the fire drill. Technical assistance was given for proper way a fire drill was to be conducted. Specialist will return on March 20, 2026, to participate in a properly conducted fire drill. The Child Care Facility Handbook states on page 28: 3.8.4 Fire Drills A. During the facilitys license year, fire drills utilizing the alarm system, approved by the local fire authority, must be conducted monthly at various dates and times when children are in care.
