Correction / follow-up note
During the inspection of the food prep area, the Licensing Specialist observed a large trash can with food waste and other trash without a tight-fitting lid. The Child Care Facility Handbook states on page 30 that: 8. Leak-proof, non-absorbent containers covered with a tight-fitting lid for all food waste stored inside the facility. The container must be emptied, cleaned, and sanitized or disinfected daily.

The facility uses a sanitizing dishwasher to properly wash and sanitize the re usable items. Upon inspection of the temperature verification log for the sanitizing dishwasher, it was discovered that the last test was performed on 12/5/2025. The Licensing Specialist was informed that the facility had run out of the test strips and they were ordered. The Child Care Facility Handbook states on page 34 that: A. During the onsite inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the wood deck that leads to the playground area was cautioned off with yellow tape. When asked, it was explained that there were several areas where the wood was rotten and not safe to walk on and that is why the area is closed off to the children. There is still a side of the deck that the children can get out to the playground from that is safe. The manager reported that a work order has been placed for the repair of the deck and should be fixed in a couple of weeks. During the onsite inspection of the playground, the Licensing Specialist observed that the fall zone material around the anchored large playground structure no longer met the fall zone requirements. There was exposed cement under the end of the green slide on the piece of equipment. The mulch around several areas of the playground piece had diminished and only dirt was left. The last documented test on the accuracy of the sanitizing temperature was documented on 11/19/2024. The Site Supervisor states that the plate they are using no longer works. The facility will need to ensure that proper sanitizing temperatures are being met.
