- There were two infants found wrapped in infant blankets. While counselor was present, the blankets were removed from the cribs. All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education. Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding, with includes but is not limited to: bumper pads, hanging mobiles, quilts, comforters, receiving blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and cushions.
