Inspector notes
Specialist observed napping cots stored in a closet with touching sheets and covers on the cots. Director removed the sheets and informed the teacher the sanitary way to store napping linens. The Child Care Facility Handbook states on page 25: G. Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child.

There is a broken toilet in the front VPK classroom. The toilet does not flush. One of the sinks in the 3 and 4 year old classroom is loose and leaning. It appears to have been glued in the past. The toilet tank cover is missing in the 4 and 5 year old classroom. The area is covered with plastic. The sink water in the 3 year old classroom just trickles out. In this same room, the toilets do not flush without being held and there is wide blue tape on one of the toilet tanks. Can not tell if the tank is broken. The CCF Handbook states that child care facilities must be in good repair and free from health and safety issues.
