- One staff member had not completed the 40 clock hours within the timeframe. TA was given regarding the regulation, as the Director thought that they had 15 months from the employment date. It was explained that childcare personnel must begin training within 90 days of employment in the childcare industry and successfully complete training within 12 months from the date training begins.

- During the licensure year fire drills utilizing the approved alarm system were not conducted monthly at various dates and times when children were in care. (Section 14.3, numbers 1 and 2)

- The program did not use any type of audible alarm to exit during a fire drill. The director announced the drill verbally. Please ensure that a audible alarm is used during emergency fire drills. Please submit a plan on what procedure will be used to maintain compliance by due date. A fire drill was observed at todays inspection there were 50 children and 4 adults that participated. It took 1 minutes and 15 seconds to evacuate. Proper procedures were followed, and all children were accounted for.

- Equipment available to children in the outdoor play area was not appropriate for the age anddevelopmental level of the children in care in that [three and four year old children were allowed acess to play equiptment that was labeled 5-12 years of age. ]. (Section 11.2, number 1)

- Licensing specialist observed three and four year old children playing on the large climbers in the kindergarten play area. Staff were asked if they use the equipment daily . Staff replied that they are allowed to play on the large play set and swings but keeps them from the rocket and wall climber. All the equipment is accessible to children and rated for children 5-12 years. Please consult with your licensing specialist by due date to approve an outdoor play space that is age appropriate for pre school children to use.
