The facility did not have documentation of a fire extinguisher being properly maintained to include being serviced and retagged timely, and/or with a current certificate. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, B (Section 14.2, number 3) Physical Environment [SR]
Inspector notes
Counselor observed the fire extinguisher was last inspected and tagged on May 2023. Expired on May 2024. Director quickly called Fire Security Alarm Protection Corp and asked for someone to call her back and schedule an inspection on all the fire extinguishers at the facility. This standard is currently not in compliance. 3.8.2 Fire Safety A. Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A- 36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities.
