At the time of inspection, the LS reviewed staff files at the facility. The files reviewed were all missing fire extinguisher training certification/documentation. 4.2.5 Fire Extinguisher Training All child care personnel shall be trained in the use and operation of a fire extinguisher, at each facility they are employed, within 30 days of date of hire. The facility must maintain documentation that all child care personnel have completed training. All child care personnel must complete fire extinguisher trainings and documentation of completed training placed in staff files. Training must be completed within 30 days of child care personnels start day.
The facility's outdoor play area contained litter, nails, glass or other hazards that posed a threat to the health, safety or well-being of the children. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, A Physical Environment [SR]

At the time of inspection, the FSC observed in the outdoor play area safety surfacing mat under the swings that where very worn. The worn surfacing mats were worn to a point that they were causing trip hazards on the playground. 3.5 Outdoor Play Area A. The outdoor play area must be clean and free from litter, nails, glass and other hazards. To bring this standard into compliance the provider will replace current safety surfacing mats by March 21st,2024.

On November 28th,2023 children were left inadequately supervised. Two students were involved in inappropriate behavior while in the bathroom. F. Children must receive supervision and assistance as required by their age and developmental needs. They must be accounted for at all times while bathing and toileting. H. At the time of inspection, the FSC observed cleaning solutions in spray bottles that were not labeled. 3.2 Toxic/Hazardous Material/Firearms/Weapons B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times.
