On the playground there were two classes combined: one-two year olds (1:5) & three-five year olds (1:10) for a total of 2 teachers and 15 one-five year olds. With these classes combining, the group on the playground was at a one year old ratio (1:6) therefore requiring 3 staff members for this group. Classes came inside and separated, bringing this into compliance. At lunchtime, these two groups combined again. At this point there were three staff members in the classroom; however, two of the staff members were taking turns leaving the room to gather and prep children's lunches.
