Pool Safety (a) A licensed family daycare home operated at a private single-family dwelling with an in-ground swimming pool on the premises shall comply with all of the following requirements: (1) The swimming pool shall be equipped with, at minimum, the following drowning prevention safety features: This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, interview, record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Alterations to Existing Building or Grounds (a) Prior to making alterations or additions to a family child care home or grounds, the licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed changed, including, but not limited to, the following: (1) Conversion of a garage (either attached or detached) into a "child care" room. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, interview, and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. The garage was converted into a childcare room for play and sleep. However, there is not approval of a permit for the conversion of the garage from the city and fire department. A wall was installed to block the garage door. LPAs observed children eat, play, and sleep in the converted garage. which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
