OPERATION OF A FAMILY CHILD CARE HOME-The licensee shall be present in the home and shall ensure that children in care are supervised at all times. When circumstances require the licensee to be temporarily absent from the home, the licensee shall arrange for a substitute adult to care for and supervise the children during his/her absence. Temporary absences shall not exceed 20% of the hours that the facility is providing care per day. This requirement was not met as evidenced by interviews. Licensee Moriah McCoy has a separate residence not at this location. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety or personal rights to children in care.
General Provisions and Definitions (1) Commencing September 1, 2016, a person shall not be employed or volunteer at a family day care home if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles. Each employee and volunteer shall receive an influenza vaccination between August 1 and December 1 of each year. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. One of the 4 staff present did not have immunization records on file This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
