Fixtures, Furniture, Equipment and Supplies (f) Solid waste shall be stored, located and disposed of in a manner that will not transmit communicable diseases or odors, create a nuisance, or provide a breeding place or food source for insects or rodents. (1) All containers used for storage of solid wastes, including moveable bins, shall have a tightfitting cover that is kept on; shall be in good repair; and shall be leakproof and rodent-proof. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. The containers for solid waste do not have a tightfitting cover which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Outdoor Activity Space (d) The surface of the outdoor activity space shall be maintained: (2) Free of hazards including, but not limited to, holes, broken glass and other debris, and dry grasses that pose a fire hazard. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. The outdoor activity space has holes which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
A licensee shall not operate a child care center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license, including the capacity limitation. LPA confirmed that the power was out on Monday, October 25th and Tuesday, October 26th. On both days the staff decided to use classroom #1 and that classroom was not fire cleared to have any children in the room at that time. This is an potential health and safety risk to children in care.
