All food shall be safe and of the quality and in the quantity necessary to meet the needs of the children. Each meal shall include, at a minimum, the amount of food components as specified by Title 7, CFR, Part 226.20, (Revised January 1, 1990) Requirements for Meals, for the age group served. This was not met as evidenced by: Based on interviews and evidence received, the facility served milk and animal crackers for breakfast to children ages 18 months to 2 years old which poses/posed a potential health, safety and/or personal rights risk(s) to children in care.
No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation. This regulation was not met as evidenced by Based on LPA observation, children were napping in a room without visual supervision from staff which poses a potential risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of persons in care.
101223 Personal Rights (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on interviews and LPA observations, the licensee did not ensure that staff were following the label directions on the cleaner used to clean the classroom floors. On more than one occasion, each staff used a different cleaner to water ratio and some added bleach and/or soap to the cleaner mix, which poses a potential health, safety and personal rights risk to the children in care.
