Buildings and Grounds: (a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors.(1)The licensee shall take measures to keep the center free of flies, other insects, and rodents. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observations and interviews, the staff do not keep the facility free of pests as rat droppings were observed in the classrooms: #2 and #7 under the sink areas and a dead cockroach in a trap in Room #2 under the sink area, which poses a potential risk to health, saftey, and personal rights to the children in care.
