Personnel Requirements (f) At least one staff member who is trained in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866 shall be present when children are at the child care center or offsite for center activities. Limitations on Capacity: A licensee shall not operate a child care center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license, including the capacity limitation. This requirement was not meant as evidenced by: Based on observations and file review. The center was using the lawn area that was not fenced, located off of the "Green" room. The lawn area is not an approved area under the license. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.
Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision. The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time,... Supervision shall include visual observation. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, LPA observed on 05/16/2024 that a staff moved from the sandbox to the playhouse. There is a post in the sandbox, which prevents staff from visually supervising children in the sandbox.
