This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that, LPAs observed 1 door leading to indoor pool and 3 exterior doors that are not self closing without key card or code, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

(b) A licensed daycare center with an in-ground swimming pool on the premises shall comply with all of the following requirements: (1) The swimming pool shall be equipped with at least one of the following drowning prevention safety features: (B) If the swimming pool is indoors, a self-closing door that has either a self-latching device no lower than 60 inches above the ground, or requires a key card, code, or other means to restrict opening. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that LPAs observed one door leading from the hallway inside of the building directly to the indoor pool that is not self closing and does not have a key card or code. In addition, there were three (3) exterior doors that lead to the indoor pool and spa and are not self-closing which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
