Assistant Infant Care Center Director Qualifications and Duties (a) In addition to the director, an assistant director shall be present and on duty if the center has 25 or more infants in attendance. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, interview and record review the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in they do not have an assistant director and have 34 enrolled infants, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Infant Care Aide Qualifications and Duties: (b) An infant care aide shall work under the direct supervision of the director, the assistant director or a fully qualified teacher, except as provided for in Section 101416.5(d)(1). This requirement was not met as evidenced by, Based on interviews conducted 2 of 2 staff memebrs stated that S1 who is currently an aide will be left alone with the infants awake and asleep. This is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
Sign In and Sign Out (a) In addition to the sign-in procedure requirement of Section 101226.1(b), the licensee shall develop, maintain and implement a written procedure to sign the child in/out of the child care center that shall, at a minimum, include the following: (1) The person who signs the child in/out shall use his/her full legal signature and shall record the time of day. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review,the sign-in and sign-out procedure and documentation lacks full legal signatures, therefore the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Building and Grounds 101238(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on observation and interview , the infant room floor is in disrepair which poses a potential health, safety risk and/or personal rights risk to children in care.
