Licensure Requirements Every licensed child day care center shall have one or more carbon monoxide detectors in the facility that meet the standards established in Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 13260) of Part 2 of Division 12. The department shall account for the presence of these detectors during inspections. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on the observation & interview, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses an immediate Health & Safety Rights risk to the children in care. During the facility tour of the school age program located in a detached bungalow, the LPA was unable to observe a working carbon monoxide detector in the . Staff stated the battery was dying which resulted in the carbon monoxide detector being unplugged and put in a cabinet.

During the facility tour of the kitchen the LPA observed the refrigerator to have sticky spilled liquid, open & uncovered drinks, old food in bags. Director stated the fridge is used for both staff and children’s food.
