This was not met as evidenced by: Based on licensees own admission and review of documentation, 2 adults were residing in the home without fingerprint clearances. This poses an immediate health/safety risk to persons in care.

- Operation of A Family Child Care Home (g) The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (4) Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: LPA observed multiple clorox sprays in the off-limit Kitchen countertop area of the home, behind the sink. This area is not gated off, but the chidlren in the home are less than 5 years old and are unable to reach. Additionally, LPA observed multiple hand sanitizers and a "Clorox" toilet bowl cleaning solution in the on-limits restroom. Although this is being downgraded to a Type B due to their being a latch and step stool blocking off the area in the on limits restroom, and children being unable to reach items in the kitchen, this still poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (1) Fireplaces and open face heaters shall be screened to prevent access by children. The home shall contain a fire extinguisher and smoke detector device which meet standards established by the State Fire Marshall. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the citation above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA observed licensee did not have a fire extinguisher. Licensee stated the fire extinguisher was being filled.
