Infant Care Center Sleeping Equipment (b) A crib or portable -crib meeting United States Consumer Product Safety Commission safety standards shall be provided for each infant who is unable to climb out of a crib. (5) Cribs shall not limit the infant's ability to stand upright. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: During the tour of the infant classroom, LPA observed an infant sleeping with a pacifier in their mouth in a rocker with the "vibration" on. The child was strapped in by the belt the rocker comes with. Staff stated the infant had just fallen asleep, but LPA was in there for at least 3-5 minutes where the infant was sleeping in the rocker before they were picked up and placed in a crib. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Infant Care Center Fixtures, Furniture, Equipment and Supplies (d) Swings, playpens and all such equipment and furniture shall be assembled or installed according to the manufacturer's instructions, and shall be maintained in good repair and safe condition. (2) A baby walker shall not be allowed on the premises of a child care center in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 1596.846. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation during the facility tour, LPA found that the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed a "Fisher Price walk bounce and ride pony" walker in the infant classroom. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
