Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (10) A baby walker shall not be allowed on the premises of a family child care home in accordance with Health and Safety Code Sections 1596.846(b) and (c). This requirement is not met as evidenced by: During initial presence in the home, LPA observed a baby walker in the kitchen/dining room area of the home. Licensee stated it was for her grandchildren, who were in care during todays inspection. Baby walkers are not allowed on the premises of a FCCH. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (5) All licensees shall ensure the inaccessibility of pools (in-ground and above-ground), fixed-in-place wading pools, hot tubs, spas, fish ponds and similar bodies of water through a pool cover or by surrounding the pool with a fence. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation during the tour of the outdoor area, LPA observed a 3 foot high pool that was completely full of water. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: LPAs observed that there were many hand sanitizers and sanitizing wipes stored in on-limit bedroom of the home. There were also expired medication boxes, razors, and personal hygiene items in the on-limits restroom. The kitchen, which is also on-limits contained knives in the basket near the kitchen sink. poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

LPA was also able to corroborate this by taking pictures of multiple cigarette butts in an ashtray on the table outside the front door. The front door is how the children enter the home.
