Health & Safety Code Section 1597.16(a)(1) requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010 to test their drinking water for lead contamination between January 1, 2020 & January 1, 2023. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review, the facility did comply w/ith written directives outlined in PIN 21-21-CCP and failed to have 3 kitchen sink faucet water sources tested for safe lead levels of 5.5 ppb or below, which is a potential risk to the health and safety of daycare children.
Infant Care Personal Services. (b) The infant shall be kept clean and dry at all times. (2) Each infant's clothing and diapers shall be changed as often as necessary to ensure that the infant is clean and dry at all times. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on records review and interview disclosure, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which for the first time while in care at the facility, a child was left in their diaper for approximately three hours which caused the child to sustain a diaper rash. This poses an immediate health, safety, and personal rights risk to children in care.
