Licensure Requirements Every family day care home for children shall have one or more carbon monoxide detectors in the facility that meet the standards established in Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 13260) of Part 2 Division 12. The department shall account for the presence of these detectors during inspections. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses an immediate health & safety risk to the children in care. During the facility tour the Licensee did not have a working carbon monoxide detector. During the inspection the Licensee found a working detector in the kitchen drawer which she understands must remain plugged in or a battery must be installed.
