Operation of A Family Child Care Home (g) The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (4) Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses an immediate health risk to the children in care. Upon arrival the Licensee was observed outside. Upon arriving in the home there were three children in who were watching TV. Two were school age and one baby. During the facility tour the LPA observed a knife in the sink and cleaning products on the kitchen counters.

In addition, LPA observed animal feces in the backyard where children play. During inspection children were sleep.
