(a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature.. clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning. This requirement was not being met as evidenced by: Based on interviews conducted, and S1 admission, the requirement to ensure that each child is free from mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature was not met. This is a potential personal rights risk to children in care.

This was not being done as evidenced by: Based on interviews conducted it was determined that staff have spoken to children inappropriately or to other staff in front of other children. This is a potential personal rights risk to children in care.
