- (2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations ... to meet his/her needs.Based on LPA’s video observation of children being awake between 12 pm and 3pm on their cots without alternative activities and staff gesturing children to return to their cots after getting up to use the restroom, 5 out of 7 staff (S1,S3,S4,S5,S7)confirming they have children lay or sit on their cots during the nap period, the facility did not comply with the section cited above by means of not having comfortable accommodations to children who are not napping in the center during the facility’s rest period which poses a potential personal rights risk to children in care.
