Disaster and Mass Casualty Plan (d) Disaster drills shall be conducted at least every six months. (2) The drills shall be documented. This documentation shall be kept in the child care center for at least one year. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review, at 9:40 a.m., LPA observed only a Fire Drill on record, and no documentation of an Earthquake Drill. Per Director, facility does not have an Earthquake Drill log on record. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that Earthquake drills are not completed or documented, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.

Buildings and Grounds (g) Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where inaccessible to children. (1) Storage areas for poisons shall be locked. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, at 9:32 a.m., LPA observed 1 box of Raid Foggers and 1 can of Raid Ant and Roach killer on an upper shelf in the laundry room in a clear container, with no lid. Pictures were taken. Although the Raid products were inaccessible on a high shelf, facility did not lock the laundry room door with either a key or combination lock. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
