Health-Related Services (3) Prescription medications may be administered if all of the following conditions are met: (B) For each prescription medication, the licensee shall obtain, in writing, approval and instructions from the child's authorized representative for the administration of the medication to the child. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, interview. and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPAs observed one child C2 does not have written instructions on file, for when staff should administer Epinephrime 0.15 auto-injection to C2. S1 stated that there are no instructions when to give the medication on file which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Reporting Requirements;Upon the occurrence, during the operation of the child care center of any of the events specified in (d)(1) below, a report shall be made to the Department by telephone or fax within the Department's next working day and during its normal business hours. In addition, a written report containing the info . specified in (d)(2) below shall be submitted to the Department within seven days following the occurrence of such event. Including;:Any suspected physical or psychological abuse of any child.This requirement was not met as evidenced by Principal's statement that report was not filed until 11/15/21 because she did not suspect any abuse. This poses a potential risk to children.
