Each employee and volunteer shall receive an influenza vaccination between August 1 and December 1 of each year. At least one staff member who is trained in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866 shall be present when children are at the child care center or offsite for center activities. This section was not met as evidenced by reviewing 5 staffs' files. Four staff's CPR and 1st aid cards were expired on 3/5/21 however one staff's card from preschool program will expire on 8/21 but the staff person is not scheduled to be in the facility from opening to closing. The facility operates 7am to 6 pm and the staff with current CPR card works from 8 am to 5:30 pm. The director has scheduled a training for August 2021. This is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
