Higher concern: Staff-to-child ratio
Report finding
The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA observation and staff interview, a potty chair was present outside on the playground while children were present in an area accesible to children. After two children used the potty, LPA observed no staff immediately remove the potty to clean it. During interviews, staff 1, 2, 3, and 5 stated that the potty is used when there are not enough staff in ratio to bring children inside to the bathroom.
