The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:(3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to... This requirement was not evidenced by: Based on interviews it was found that the facility did not comply with the cited section above it was determined a child in care had been handled in an innapropriate,unnecessary rough manner by a staff member and was being forced to nap , which did not align with safe, supportive, or developmentally appropriate practices. This action posed an immediate health and safety risk to the children in care.
