Teacher Aide Qualifications and Duties. An aide shall work only under the direct supervision of a teacher. This requirement was not met as evidenced by LPA observation and interviews. During inspection LPA witnessed Staff #1 being left alone with preschool children even though Staff #1 doesn’t meet the required qualifications of a preschool teacher. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
