Administration of Child Day Care Licensing (1) On or before March 30, 2018, a person who, on January 1, 2018, is a licensed child day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a), and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every two years following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 4 of 8 Staff Files, Staff #3-4, 7, & 8, did not have a current Mandated Reporter Child Care Provider (AB1207) training, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
No child day care facility shall discriminate or retaliate against any child or parent or guardian on the basis or for the reason that the parent or guardian has exercised his or her right under this section to inspect the facility or has lodged a complaint with the department against a facility. This requirement was not met as evidenced by the fact that a child in care's services was terminated by this facility 1 day after the parent brought up concerns to the facility. This is a potential risk to the children in care.
