Administration of Child Day Care Licensing (1) On or before March 30, 2018, a person who, on January 1, 2018, is a licensed child day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a), and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every two years following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA's observation, and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that 4 out of 5 employees do not have the required Mandated Reporter Training. Criminal Record Clearance (j) The licensee shall maintain documentation of criminal record clearances or criminal record exemptions of volunteers that require fingerprinting. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA Wheatley's observation, interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that three staff members (cook, piano teacher, art teacher) are not fingerprinted or live scanned. LPA called the El Segundo office and verified that the staff do not have a fingerprint clearance. The cook is around the children daily. The piano teacher was supervising children alone today. The art teacher is here once a week however she teaches the children piano lessons without a fingerprint clearance. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
