Operation of A Family Child Care Home (g) The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (4) Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation and interview, licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA's inspected the enclosed play yard the children use that is entered through an entrance near the front yard. Upon entering, the children also have access to the back yard. LPAs inspected both yards and observed that in the larger part of the yard there was a razor, hammer, electric saw, ibuprofen medication and lighter fluid. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
