Food Service (18) All kitchen, food-preparation and storage areas shall be kept clean and free of litter and rubbish; and measures shall be taken to keep all such areas free of rodents and other vermin. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. During today's inspection of the kitchen, it was observed that there were cockroaches and multiple cockroach droppings in cabinets and on a wood pull out cutting board. The facility does not cook in the kitchen, however, do store the children's lunches (brought from home) and pre-packaged snacks in the kitchen. Director Davis confirmed the observation. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
