Buildings and Grounds (a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA observations, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as the play area was not kept clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. The sandbox had approximately 4 to 5 inches of standing water accumulated in the potholes. Furthermore, LPA Herrera observed the building’s wall under the play yard’s patio to have mold/algae, and the play structure had grime and debries in the stair’s surface which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Furthermore, LPA Herrera observed that the facility had fresh produce located next to the sink that is used for cleaning purposes such as mopping. LPA Herrera also observed a hosepipe that was attached to a dispenser that had cleaning solution that was just above the sink near the fresh produce, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
