Personal Rights. The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons. This requirement was not met as eviended by: Staff picked a child up by the arms to return child to their nap mat which is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
Staff-Infant Ratio (b) There shall be a ratio of one teacher for every four infants in attendance. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Facility was out of ratio with 9 infants with 2 staff in toddler A classroom. Staff in infant B class did not meet teacher qualifications. This poses an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.
Staff-Infant Ratio. There shall be a ratio of one teacher for every four infants in attendance. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: facility has operated out of ratio with one teacher caring for up to 6 children which is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
General Sanitation. Objects used by children shall be washed and disinfected at least daily, or more often if necessary. Such objects shall include, but not be limited to, toys and blankets. This requirment was not met as evidenced by: staff did not ensure the classroom items were sanitized daily which poses a potential risk to the health and safety of of children in care.
Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision. The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Staff was unaware that C1 had a rock in his mouth while in care which poses a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
